Issued to the National People’s Army (NVA) of East Germany, this field shirt features the classic Strichtarn ("rain pattern") camouflage, used from 1965 until the fall of the GDR in 1989. Made from a durable mid-weight fabric, it was built for rugged field use in temperate conditions.
Designed for utility, the shirt includes two chest pockets and two sleeve pockets, all with button flaps. A button-up front with storm flap, adjustable cuffs, and internal buttons for attaching a liner make this a versatile, modular layer. This version is unlined, distinguishing it from the heavier winter models.
